Stages after the application

The application goes to the recruiting department. Then the process looks like this:

  • Day 1-2: the recruiter calls, gets acquainted, answers questions.
  • Talk about experience: discuss skills (civilian too), role preferences and service conditions.
  • Role selection: choose a specialty together with a recruiter.
  • Medical Commission: pass Military Medical Commission (MMC) is a mandatory stage for everyone.
  • Documents: collect papers according to the list from the recruiter.
  • Preparation and joining: Basic Combined Arms Training (BCAT), professional training, joining a unit.

Is it possible to put an application "on pause"

Yes. An application is a conversation starter, not an obligation. You can ask the recruiter anything that worries you and make a decision when you're ready.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it necessary to go somewhere immediately after the application?

No. After the application, a telephone conversation with the recruiter first takes place. A trip to the medical board or training is arranged separately when you make a decision.

Can I decline after talking to the recruiter?

Yes. You are not obligated to anything until you sign the contract. A conversation with a recruiter is a free consultation.

How long does it take from application to service?

It depends on the role, the speed of passing Military Medical Commission (MMC) and the collection of documents. During the conversation, the recruiter will name the real terms for your situation.
